In accordance with the College’s dedication to ensuring that each young man is known, the Depth Stage of Polaris fosters individuals’ character, confidence and competence, and it encourages them to be open to a range of new learning experiences that align with their passions, talents and future aspirations.I AM KNOWN    POLARIS About the role:The Learning Leader Performing Arts leads the development and implementation of the College's Performing Arts curriculum and programs to engage students and encourage their full participation in College life. The position is an ongoing teaching position with a 3 year appointment to the Position of Leadership.The Learning Leader Performing Arts works closely with the Assistant Principal Mission, Director of Music, Director of Ensembles and Performing Arts staff to  deliver an extensive Academic and Performance program which reflects the values and ethos of our Catholic Marist Community. In addition to the preparation and delivery of the curriculum the position will be expected to participate in the College's co curricular program, which may include Saturday sport.Requirements:Previous Performing Arts Leadership experience is desirable, whilst additional teaching methods in Religious Education are also highly desirable.The successful applicant will demonstrate a passion for engaging students and will have a sound knowledge of contemporary learning practices.  You will have outstanding knowledge of the subject curriculum across Performing Arts. Flexibility, initiative and collegiality are also intrinsic to this role.Staff are expected to support the vision and goals of the College as a learning community and to commit to ongoing professional development and learning.Child Safeguarding Requirements:All applicants are required to:Provide proof of IdentificationComplete a Child Safety DeclarationComplete online Child protection trainingProvide or agree to undertake a police check (National Police Certificate)Provide evidence of current VIT registrationApplications Close 9.00 am Thursday 14 November 2019.Interviews will commence from Monday 25 November 2019Early applications are encouraged.Please see the position description for further details and Selection Criteria.Position Description AUD Bulleen 3105
