About the role The Careers Practitioner drives an integrated culture of careers education, student and staff growth and academic excellence, aligned with the College’s Catholic ethos, Marist Spirituality, Victorian Curriculum and Polaris learning ecosystem. The Careers Practitioner works closely with the Deputy Principal, Assistant Principals (Students), Heads of Learning, Learning Diversity, Learning Leaders, Learning Mentors and relevant teams to ensure the development and implementation of a comprehensive careers education program which supports students in preparation for life within and beyond school and future pathways. This includes a focus on supporting students across all year levels with their pathway options based on the notion of life formation.The Careers Practitioner at Marcellin College is responsible for implementing a focus on future pathways through the fostering of strong partnerships with tertiary organisations and other external agencies. They will oversee the College’s work-based learning program. They are also responsible for implementing the College philosophy and modelling and supporting the goals of the College Mission – Education, Spirituality, Community and Justice.Application ProcessShortlisted applicants will be required to attend a panel interview which may include an external member.
